Account and Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your Rectifyl account and data, what is deleted, and what is kept. To delete only some of your data, see Deleting some of your data. Rectifyl is built and operated by KHAIMA.

How to delete your account

In the mobile app

1. Open Rectifyl and sign in.
2. Tap Settings (top right) and choose Delete my account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm.

On the website

1. Sign in at https://rectifyl.com.
2. Open Settings from your account menu and choose Delete my account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm.

By email

If you cannot sign in, email contact@rectifyl.com from the email address of your Google account with the subject "Account deletion request". We may ask you to confirm the request, and we complete it within 30 days.

What is deleted

Account deletion is immediate and permanent. It removes:

• Your account and profile (email, name, profile picture, preferences).
• All your texts, corrections and their explanations.
• Your mistake history, practice cards and review progress, course progress and deck subscriptions.
• Your points balance and points history.
• Your Firebase sign-in account.

What is kept

• Anonymized operational records (time, duration, AI tokens used and outcome of past corrections, without any text) are kept for cost accounting and security, with your identifier replaced so they no longer relate to you.
• A record that the deletion happened is kept in our audit log for accountability.
• Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.

Points are not refundable and cannot be restored after deletion.

Deleting some of your data without deleting your account

You can delete any text you corrected while keeping your account.

In the mobile app

1. Open History and tap the text.
2. Tap the ⋯ (More actions) menu, choose Delete and confirm.

On the website

1. Open History and select the text.
2. Open the ⋯ (More actions) menu, choose Delete and confirm.

By email

To have other data deleted (for example all of your texts, or your practice history) without closing your account, email contact@rectifyl.com from the email address of your Google account. We complete requests within 30 days.

What is deleted and what is kept

• Deleted immediately: the original and corrected text, its comments and explanations, and the mistake examples and flashcards created from it.
• Kept until you delete your account: an operational record of the correction (time, duration, AI tokens used and outcome, never the text) and your points history, used for cost accounting and security.

Exporting your data first

Before deleting, you can download all your data from Settings → Download my data.
